Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges. Some of these challenges will test our courage, strengths, weaknesses, and faith. Along the way, we may stumble upon obstacles that will come between the paths that we are destined to take. In order to follow the right path, we must overcome these obstacles. Sometimes these obstacles are really blessings in disguise, only we don’t realize it at that time.
You know the people that we meet on our journey, are people that we are destined to meet. Everybody comes into our lives for some reason or another and we don’t always know their purpose until it is too late. They all play some kind of role. Some may stay for a lifetime, others may only stay for a short while but it is often the people who stay for only a short time that end up making a lasting impression not only in our lives, but in our hearts as well. Although we may not realize it at that time, they will make a difference and change our lives in a way we never could imagine. To think that one person can have such a profound affect on your life forever is truly a blessing. It is because of these encounters that we learn some of life’s best lessons and sometimes we even learn a little bit about ourselves too.
Please Do Remember that No matter how hard things seem to be, there is always a reason for them. Some days you’ll find yourself thinking that things will never get better, but things can turn around over night and are back on track. Hard times can make you feel stronger and they can help create the person you are trying to be.
It is often said that what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger. It all depends on how one defines the word “STRONG“. It can have different meanings to different people. In this sense, “STRONGER” means looking back at the person you were and comparing it to the person you have become today. It also means looking deep into your soul and realizing that the person you are today couldn’t exist if it weren’t for the things that have happened in the past or for the people that you have met.
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” — Marilyn Monroe
Anytime we fail at something, we’re overcome by a sense of defeat. It’s natural. And it’s part of life. We all go through it. Does it feel good? Nope. Not in the slightest. But you can’t always expect life to be rainbows and sunshine. Right? But the truth is there is a reason for the things that happen to you. In fact, the greatest lessons you could ever learn in life are born from failure. Still, I know that this doesn’t make it feel any better. I can only relate the journey. I can only convey how it feels. I can relate the pain and help others discover ways through it. I can’t make it better. No one can. But through the pain of failure and our most terrifying experiences, something wonderful is born. It’s a renewal of spirit, a birth of rejuvenation and an overall belief in greater things to come.
Let me enlighten you with the fact that everything that you go through makes you more resilient. Not at the time when you’re suffering through it. But over time as the weeks, months and years wear on. Often, you will never get over those biggest heartbreaks in life. But that’s okay. Because it shapes you into a more resilient person. It hardens you for what’s to come.
The truth is that tough times never last. But tough people do. And the scars that we receive in life will remind of us where we’ve been, but they don’t necessarily need to dictate where we will go. Don’t wallow too far in misery. Lift yourself up. Find the beauty in the simple things in life because that’s what’s important sometimes. Ultimately, you understand that not everything is in your control, nor should it be. You simply can’t control everything that happens to you in life. But you can control how you RESPOND.
Each event in our lives is important, from the most inspired and enlightened to the seemingly unexplainable, inequitable or incomprehensible. However, sometimes when we’re in the heat of the situation, this is difficult to understand. But when we look for the meaning, we can find the gift in what could be perceived as a negative experience. By seeing these experiences as lessons and opportunities we find greater purpose in our lives.
I believe that there is a plan made for everyone. People and opportunities come in and out of our lives for a reason, and that reason is so we can learn and grow from experiences and our mistakes that we have made. I no longer obsess over the negatives, instead, I look at them as a stepping stone to bigger and better things! You must also try doing it.
Some may view this mindset as an excuse to escape the negative pressures of life, but I see it as a facet to keep me going. I don’t waste my breath feeling bad for myself, rather I pick myself up and move on. Every experience in life is designed to shape you and reform you into the ultimate and greatest version of yourself that you could possibly be. We can’t control why or how things happen, we can only control how we respond to such things.
Life comes at us quickly and isn’t always how we thought it would be. But therein also lies the beauty. Sometimes the curveballs of life can end up being not only our greatest teacher, but also our most wonderful blessings.
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” — Steve Jobs
I really believe that everything that happens in our life happens for a reason and sometimes that means we must face heartaches in order to experience joy. It is necessary that we remain positive and hopeful, as with each failure leads to a new success, with each loss opens a new door to opportunities, and with each tragedy it is a time for reflection and personal growth.
There’s a suggestion to all that When things don’t always go your way, just try to make the best out of the situation and know that these are only temporary setbacks and find the lessons that are to be learned.
Take care everyone. Enjoy the festive season!
